A New Chapter
I am closing the door firmly on 2017, it was a unique growth year for me personally as well as for our family. January 2018 finds our family approaching some new and meaningful priorities and life milestones.
Jason has accepted a position with the Grand Teton Council. I am doing a variety of things and loving this opportunity to be close to my family in Utah. Jason and I find ourselves home alone a little more often, now that we have Maddie B in her Senior Year at Madison High School. She has an active schedule attending school, enrolled in college concurrent enrollment courses, and working at a local restaurant. Nearly, three times a week, when I go looking for her, I find her in the Rexburg Temple doing service.
JT, Amber, and Brooklyn are in New Hampshire, where JT continues with his position at the University there. He finished his MBA, and is now leading the academic learning analytics team and teaching. He is still in the bishopric in the Manchester Ward. Amber and he stay busy with raising a sweet, smart, beautiful baby girl. Amber, is a busy mom who teaches on Sunday and devotes her energy and life to her family. We admire her so much and can see that they are happy and that makes us happy..... and of course, she is very healthy---swim's every morning before the light of day.
Brooklyn Sue is a year and half now, and is looking more and more like a little girl out of a story book (yes, grandma thinks she is cute). It's impossible to tell you how much we love her. It was so wonderful to share the holidays with her this year. Below, Papa Eborn was able to get her to sleep during the reception.
I can tell you, that we are so happy to have Tanner home from serving in the Marine Corps. He was honorably-released last Jun. Kodie and he made the cross-country trek to New Hampshire to spend a month with us. We took advantage of having all the children together, and we made the effort go camping in Acadia for Jason's 50th Birthday, Niagara Falls and Palmyra for Megan's Temple Trip.
Tanner and Kodie are currently making their home in Farmington, Utah where Tanner is working full-time at Triple A. Last year, he graduated with his Bachelors of Arts Degree from SNHU and is now applying to graduate programs for his advanced degree. Kodie is attending the University of Utah to finish her degree in Business and working hard as well. They both have such good hearts and strong work ethic. It's wonderful to be so close to them both, spend time with them, and see them happy and in love. They (we) are planning and are excited for this upcoming June when they will be married and we can have another family gathering. Save the date, June 22.
Also, we have Megan and Ryan in Cache Valley, where they are both working full-time, going to college at USU, and starting their new life together. Megan is working at Intermountain Health Care. It's fun to spend time with them and its also a perk they have an apartment in Mendon, Utah so when we need a place to land when we come to see the grands.
It's a new chapter in our life, and we are grateful for all our blessings, our health, opportunities for education and work, and to grow as a family in faith and love.
